From first contest to national team
We train students for the leading mathematics, physics, and modeling competitions. Our students have earned places on the USA Physics Team.
Why competitions?
Competition problems are where real mathematical and scientific thinking begins. Students learn to stay calm under pressure, to try many ideas, and to explain their reasoning clearly. Those skills carry into every subject and into university.
- Small groups of up to 4 students, or individual coaching
- Problem sets graded from accessible to olympiad level
- Timed practice and full mock contests
- Written solutions and proof writing for olympiad students
Competition tracks
MATHCOUNTS
The national middle school mathematics program. Students learn fast, accurate problem solving for the Sprint, Target, Team, and Countdown rounds.
Grades 6 to 8AMC 8, 10, 12
The American Mathematics Competitions from the MAA, the first step on the path to the USA Mathematical Olympiad.
Grades 8 to 12AIME
The American Invitational Mathematics Examination: fifteen deep problems with integer answers, and the bridge to the olympiads.
Top AMC scorersUSAJMO and USAMO
The USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad and the USA Mathematical Olympiad. Students learn to write complete, rigorous proofs.
Olympiad levelMath Prize for Girls
Preparation for the Math Prize for Girls competition, with problems in the style of the AMC and AIME.
Grades 11 and belowPhysics Bowl
The AAPT national physics contest. Students build speed and conceptual mastery across the whole introductory physics course.
High schoolF = ma
The first exam in the selection of the U.S. Physics Team, focused on mechanics with calculus-free and calculus-based reasoning.
High schoolUSAPhO
The USA Physics Olympiad: long, multi-part theory problems. Our students have earned places on the USA Physics Team.
Olympiad levelCOMAP
The COMAP mathematical modeling contests. Teams learn to model real situations, compute, and write a clear technical report.
High school and collegeICSC
Preparation for the ICSC international competition.
InternationalPyraMind Olympiad
Our own multi-subject competition in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, held on the PyraMind platform.
